Wynne Powell was CEO of London Drugs Limited prior to his retirement, and continues to serve as Chair of London Air Services, a charter airline, and Sonora Resorts, a member of Relais & Chateau group. Mr. Powell’s history includes serving eight years as Chair of BCIT, over 15 years as Chair of Provincial Health Services Authority, BC Emergency Health Services, and Chair of the Chairs of the six British Columbia Health Authorities, an Interim Chair of Fraser Health, and director of the CPA Western School of Business. He was awarded a fellowship from the Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia and an Honorary Doctor of Technology from BCIT. Mr. Powell has also received the Queen’s Golden Jubilee medal and the Henry Singer Award for leadership from the University of Calgary. In 2008, he was recognized as one the top 100 CGA accountants for outstanding contributions to the accounting profession and community service.
