Born and raised in B.C., Marie grew up on the coast. She ferried to and from Pender Island every summer from age five, and currently lives on Vancouver Island while maintaining vacation property on Pender.
Marie has been strategically leading businesses and organizations for four decades, building teams by building capacity, and sharing her expertise freely. She’s worked with multi-million dollar budgets, large and small teams, local and distributed structures. Marie knows how to get the best out of the people and resources that fuel organizations.
Marie has also provided strategic and communications advice to a variety of B.C. organizations. and others across Canada and globally—from non-profits to governments to businesses to unions. She’s coached many leaders in the best practices of media, leadership, strategic planning, message management, and helped them chart their most powerful direction forward. An expert facilitator, Marie knows how to creatively help leaders and organizations find their north star and follow it effectively.
Marie was appointed to the B.C. Ferry Authority Board of Directors in April 2025. Semi-retired since 2024, Marie hopes to spend a lot more time on BC Ferries visiting family and friends on the Mainland, Denman, Bowen, Pender, Salt Spring, Mayne and Gabriola Islands.
